Journalism

My background as a journalist
After graduating from the Western Australia Institute of Technology (nee Curtin University) as a teenager, I worked as a press photographer and senior journalist/editor for major regional newspapers in Western Australia, and as a freelance journalist for the Western Mail and The West Australian newspapers in Perth.
In 1981 and 1982 I was the winner and runner-up for the Western Australian Provincial Press Association award for Best Feature Story in WA.
From 1984 to 2002 I worked in the newsrooms of most major Perth radio stations - 6PR, 6IX, 6NR, 96FM, PMFM and 94.5FM.
I have lectured journalism at Curtin University and reported on the Gulf War from Israel for Australian radio.
From the early 1990s to 2016 I was the editor and writer of most masthead magazines published by the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia, continually monitoring and analysing legislative and market trends in the property sector.
As a journalist I maintain a close interest in all political, economic and social issues affecting many industries.
As a print editor with 40 years experience, I will sort out those "grammar gremlins" that might plague your writing.
